I really appreciate your warm welcome which was an excellent opportunity to meet a lot of other people next to the students at my university. |

If you are thinking of studying abroad there is truly no greater city than Hong Kong. You should study abroad in Hong Kong:
|
Dutch Embassy |
The Dutch Embassy and The Dutch Chamber of Commerce are great organisations to connect with as you get ready and approach your time in Hong Kong to study abroad. Events will be held frequently within Hong Kong for you to meet other students at other Universities and be introduced to the broader Dutch community. Of course if you are from a different country, your local Chamber and Embassy will be just as welcoming too.

Each year the DHC HK Hockey team welcomes new students to join us from August through December and again from January through April. You are always welcome to message us throughout the year though!
Below are some of the Universities that do incoming exchanges in Hong Kong, you can find out if you are eligible by visiting their Overseas Student's abroad pages, or by talking to your local University.
Studying in Hong Kong is great in that you learn and interact with a variety of cultures. Locally you will find most locals speak Cantonese, but they will also often understand Mandarin and a little English. Getting around Hong Kong is easy though as all signs are in English and Simplified Chinese.
You will also find that most instruction at the Universities listed above is in English. If you are looking to learn some of the local language then we would recommend Cantonese. There are many local tuition providers to teach you "Survival" Cantonese. |
Holidays |
Whilst in the Netherlands (For example) you may have 9-10 Public Holidays a year, in Hong Kong we have around 17 holidays! That is pretty encouraging for all of those day trips and long weekends you wish to take. Don't forget to consider planing ahead if you wish to get out of Hong Kong for Chinese New Year or Chinese Golden Week which can become very expensive to leave Hong Kong.
