Hong Kong Hockey Association have released their 2017 Field Hockey fixtures for the Women. These have been updated on our respective teams 'TeamSnap' accounts.

About us?

The Dutch Hockey Club (DHC), founded in 1949 is the oldest, still active, hockey club in Hong Kong. In the earlier years all the players had to be of Dutch Nationality however, times have moved on and the club has transformed to be a truly international one with players not just from the Netherlands but also, Hong Kong, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Argentina and Germany to name a few.  
Besides playing at a competitive level, the social activities outside of pitch time are also a very important part to DHC. Beers after the game to celebrate the win, regular Friday night drinks and other activities such as Junk-boat parties, Pub-Quizzes and dinners are organized all year round so you really get to know all the teams and players from both the men’s and ladies sections. 
Currently the club has two Men’s teams, playing in First and Fourth division and two Ladies teams, playing in First and Second division. Practice for all teams is on Tuesday nights in the inner ring of the Happy Valley Racecourse and training is provided by our former Pakistan International player and Premier League Trainer, Ali Zeeshan.  
The main league season runs from September – April but we also play in the annual Easter Mixed Hockey 6’s and the Mixed Summer League from June – August each year. 
Players of all levels from beginners to ex-internationals have player for DHC at one time or another and whether you’ve never picked up a stick before or looking to reignite your game and make some friends along the way, all are welcome!

As a kiwi, its always good to get to know fellow kiwis. 

We reached out to Lachlan at The New Zealand Society of Hong Kong, who recently did a shout out for us. 

The NZ Society of HK is celebrating 60 years in HK/China this year and hosts a number of events for Kiwis. They will be at The Doghouse Wan Chai tomorrow for the Bledisloe.

The DHC spent last Saturday at the Hong Kong Sports Expo at KITEC (Kowloon International Events Centre). 

We were there with the Hong Kong Hockey Association, promoting our Junior section. Only one week to go until our first junior section training of the year!

Are you thinking about joining a new sport in 2017? 

Come and join the Hong Kong Hockey Association at the Sports Expo at  Kowloon Bay International Trade and Exhibition Centre this weekend. 

The Dutch Hockey Club will be there from 5pm through to 9pm on Saturday, so plenty of time to come down and hit a hockey ball, learn some skills and sign up for the 2017-2018 season. 

The Senior season kicks off in just over a month. Have you started pre-season fitness as yet?

We are now taking enrolments for our Mens and Womens teams. Are you always struggling to get enough game time? Wanting to have a more social season, but still participate at a high level? All four of our teams are willing and able to accept new players. 

English is our core language, so don't stress if you think we all speak dutch (I'm a Kiwi!!!).
